ARC Psychiatry Accepting New Patients Following Closure of Comprehensive Behavioral Health

Board-certified psychiatrists in Youngstown and Canton offer psychiatry, therapy, and telehealth to displaced Mahoning Valley patients

YOUNGSTOWN, OH, UNITED STATES, October 29, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- ARC Psychiatry today announced it is accepting new patients at its Youngstown and Canton offices following the closure of Comprehensive Behavioral Health, which shut its seven Ohio offices on Oct. 2. The closure affects approximately 7,000 clients in Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, Jefferson, and Stark counties.

"When a practice closes, the most urgent issue is usually medication. Gaps in psychiatric medication can cause withdrawal-like symptoms or relapse, and people often wait too long to find a new prescriber. Our priority is getting patients seen quickly so their treatment continues without interruption.” said Amit Mohan, MD, a board-certified psychiatrist who leads medication management at ARC Psychiatry.

"Older adults are especially likely to fall through the cracks during a transition like this. Changes in mood or memory get attributed to stress or aging when they’re often treatable. We want families to know there’s a place to go.” said Boris Royak, MD, a board-certified psychiatrist with expertise in geriatric psychiatry.

ARC Psychiatry treats depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD/ADD, trauma and PTSD, and OCD. The practice also offers TMS for depression, ADHD and autism testing, psychological testing, EMDR, and individual, couples, marriage, and sex therapy. Telehealth is available statewide.

ARC Psychiatry accepts most major health insurance plans. New patients can call (216) 450-1613 or visit www.arcproviders.com to request an appointment and confirm insurance participation for their plan and provider. Patients should bring a current medication list and any records requested from their previous practice. Anyone in crisis should call or text 988.
